Weather Characteristics of Vintages:

Early spring, budding in March. At the end of April strong spring frost follows in the lowest areas. Blooming finished in May. Conditions for the growth of grapes are optimal. Exchange of longer sunny and shorter rainy periods follows. In August a very early beginning of ripening slowed down owing to a longer dry period with extremely high temperatures (40 C). In September follows a very long period of rainy weather, which ends with a strong north-east wind / burja in the last week. Harvest of early varieties in late August, of medium and late varieties together at the same time at the end of September.
