A lively salmon color resembles the elegant classics of Provance rosés.
Wine is smooth, rich in taste – fruity with a lot of refreshing impressions. Its dominating notes are fresh red fruits, redcurrant, raspberry, notes of red roses. Discreet, not aggressive, rounded and homogeneous impressions. Although a bit elevated, the alcohol is not perceived due to high freshness.

Food and Wine

Recommended with all gently seasoned seafood, pastas and risottos, grilled fish; chilled as aperitif.

Weather Characteristics of Vintages:

Our vineyards escaped the spring frost despite an early start of the growing season, heavy wet conditions followed with plenty of rainfall and the forecast of heavy yield losses due to disease; only a clever vine grower manages to save the crop with the correct agrotechnical measures and timely spraying. Until the end of July almost 50% above average rainfall, stagnation of vegetation with the prospect of a rather late ripening of the grapes. This is followed by an extremely dry, warm to hot August with a fairly early end of vegetation and with ripening accelerated by desiccation. The vintage is rich in alcohol, the wines are warm; only a skilful winegrower has managed to keep enough freshness in the wine by choosing the correct harvest timing.
