TILIA Tilia estate – House of Pinots continues its story of connecting Pinot noir producers by organizing Modri Les Noirs 2019, the first Slovenian festival & Master class in honour of the variety. The main theme of the second edition is the creativity offered by the cultivation of Pinot noir. This variety has the ability to connect its producers and fans worldwide. The challenge for the winemaker is to produce above-average wines with enough similarities to Burgundy and at the same time different enough to make the wine their own. On the other hand, fans rave in the delight of discovery what a winemaker managed to express from grapes grown in a particular region and in a particular vintage. Every producer in love with this variety knows that everything starts in the vineyard, but he also has many little secrets that make his beloved Pinot noir just as it is. And this is exactly the purpose of the whole event at the festival of Modri Les Noirs – to join the two lovers. We are aware that not all secrets can be simply revealed, but we want the love for this variety to shine on both ends.
